For our first customer,  Bonjour Paris Fashions, Inc. of New York, we produced about 1,400 dozen pairs of jeans a week. Over the years, we have manufactured for brands such as Lee, Calvin Klein, MF Girbaud, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Victoria's Secret. In recent years, our customers have included such names as Rogan NYC, Paper, Denim & Cloth, Imogene & Willie, Tyndale Uniforms, and Steel Grip.

Stitches was very successful until the passing of the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994. This agreement eliminated trade barriers with Mexico and Canada and allowed many American companies to take advantage of cheaper labor forces in these countries. Because of NAFTA, many businesses throughout this area began to close. With more work being produced overseas, Stitches was forced to downsize and eventually consolidate to one location. We are constantly looking for new ways to drive our business forward. Currently, Stitches has approximately 55 employees and is still located in the Holland St. facility.

Our Challenges

We produce high-quality products for our clients and foster a family environment for our team members. Since our establishment in 1977, we've been a cornerstone of our local community, offering employment and growth opportunities. Our mission remains to safeguard our legacy and craftsmanship for the generations to come.

We are American Made • American Proud.

How It All Started

How It All Started

Stitches, Inc. was founded in 1977 by Alfred Turner and Milton Boyles in Gamaliel, KY. Starting with 54 employees, we expanded and innovated, reaching over 300 employees at our peak. In our early years, we were known for the diversity and flexibility of our skills while evolving to meet new demands. We became one of the only facilities doing stone wash and acid wash applications, and we have been known to do specialty work as well as standard/basic work. Our journey has been marked by challenges, but our commitment to quality and American pride has never wavered. Today, we continue to innovate with our jean repair and alteration services. Join us as we stitch together a legacy of excellence.
